With the launch of Sony Vaio, it declared that it is the world’s first light and thin, just after a narrow gap Dell has announced its entrance in this field of the thinnest laptop. Mac Book Air was considered the lightest one but Sony Vaio occupied this stage. Now, Dell Adamo XPS is just 9.9mm thick, when comparing the other two laptops Dell Adamo XPS is number one at this moment. The Laptop will come to the show earlier this year.
Look close and you might just be able to spot a USB port (Which may be flying solo, as with the MacBook Air) and an SD slot, but the Dell Adamo XPS’s profile is only just thicker than those little holes.
There’s still no official word on the launch date for the Dell Adamo XPS, but since the original Adamo was shown off at CES in Las Vegas last January, we wouldn’t be surprised if Dell had numero deux on show come CES 2010, or at least hidden behind a curtain for VIPs.
I think that all these thin computers are an attempt at getting more profit before all the companies switch to the more flexible and portable approach. The only thing that would make these computers even better is the addition of nuclear batteries. Other than that addition all of the thin laptops will be the same. Hopefully the other manufactures will not make the same mistake that Apple did, and will include a DVD RW with it, instead of it being an external device.
