Nissan applied for loan to build EVs, batteries in U.S.

Target to reducing CO2, Nissan Motor Co. has been testing electric car since the mid-1990. It hopes that they will bright the first electric car in the fall 2010. Nissan and NEC Corp. are working jointly for developing high-capacity lithium ion batteries. To get full charge it will take 2-4 hours and will able to diver about 100 miles. To support the Electric Vehicle, Nissan has applied to the U.S government for loan under low-interest-loan program.

Under the plan, the new electric-car assembly lines are to be built at Nissan's plant in Smyrna, Tennessee.

The facility, capable of making 50,000 to 100,000 eco-friendly vehicles a year by 2012, is expected to first produce a small passe

nger car, it said.

It is a C Segment car with five doors. The Nissan has a plan to make fifty thousands electric car in next fall. With the low-interest-loan program loan they will setup high-capacity battery plant and charging stations.
